How can i apply to catch crayfish?
It is illegal to trap crayfish without getting a licence first.
1. Apply for a licence from the Environment Agency to catch crayfish
2. A legal crayfish trap which has a licence number from the Environment Agency & otter guard on the trap.
3. Obtain a personal license from the Basingstoke Canal Society to trap crayfish on the canal. Contact: Fiona Shipp, Canal Manager on 07305 340547.
